Nalanda University 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Below we have provided the Nalanda University 2023 Eligibility Criteria for the candidates to go through it before filling the form.

For Indian Students

A certain minimum of three years Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

For International Students

A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of previous studies with a grade point average (GPA) of at a minimum 2.2 or above on a 4 point scale or equivalent grade if another grade point scale is used.

The international applicants shall present the final score of any one of the following in the English Language Tests/ or the proof of knowledge of English:

• TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language)
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• Any other standard English test used on the international platform
• or completed a full-time degree-level course entirely taught and assessed in English

Eligibility criteria for Ph.D. Level Admission at Nalanda University for Indian and International Students

For full-time students, this is an entirely residential program, with a stipend of 35000 INR per month

• Nalanda University offers a 4-year doctoral program for national and international students
• For full-time students, it is a completely residential program
• For part-time students, the residence will not be provided (baring in touch with the programs/seminars for a period of not exceeding more than seven days)

Essential Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant should postgraduate with at least 65% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), preferably with a doctoral thesis at Masters’ level or M.Phil. Degree with 65% marks or the equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).
• Applicant to submit a Letter of Self Introduction, as well as the 2 Letters of Recommendation/ References.
• Applicant to present a Statement of Purpose (SoP) (The So must indicate the reason for opting for the course/program and choosing Nalanda University)
• Applicant to present a detailed Research Proposal (which will be put through plagiarism check)
• Applicant to submit evidence of any research such as typing samples or published papers (at least 2 to 3).
• International applicants have to submit a language proficiency proof for example:
